As of Wednesday, January 20, 2010 no further Cobble Hill 10 km forms accepted at Frontrunner Stores. Up until noon on Saturday, January 23, 2010 forms can be dropped off in the Cowichan Valley at two locations:
Race day registration will be at the George Bonner School from 9 AM to 1030 AM. Cash or cheque only.
Race Course: This is the third year for this route, the feedback on the course from participants is very positive and many personal bests were set. This is a wonderful, relatively flat route through predominantly farmland and acreages in the Cobble Hill area, which is about 45 Kms north of Victoria just past Mill Bay on the Trans Canada Highway. There will be one water stop. The race starts just up the road from George Bonner School. Parking will be clearly marked and there will be parking marshals to assist. The course is not closed to traffic so runners are expected to keep to the left facing the oncoming traffic. Marshals and traffic directors will be located at all intersections to ensure no one gets lost.
Race Package Pick-up: Race packages may be collected on race day only, at the George Bonner School from 9 AM to 10:45 AM.
T-shirts: None
Awards: Medals are awarded for male and female finishers 1St to 3rd place and ribbons to 10th in the following Categories: Five year age groups from 20 to 80+, plus 16-19 and under-16
Additional awards / prizes to the overall man and overall female and top master male (40 yrs & up) and master female (40 yrs & up).
Draw prizes: Draw prizes will be drawn at each race that have been provided by our sponsors. Runners must be present at the drawing of all prizes except the Grand Draw Prize.
