This year we are excited to introduce a NEW COURSE starting at Shawnigan Lake School, and including both rural roads and the Trans Canada Trail up to the historic Kinsol Trestle. |
Half Marathon Course:
Welcome to our new Shawnigan-Kinsol Half Marathon course. We couldn’t take all of the hills out of our new route, but we’ve done our best. Runners will start from Shawnigan Lake School on Renfrew Road. The initial sections on Renfrew Road and West Shawnigan Road are undulating. Runners will then move on to the Trans Canada Trail for the middle portion of the run. This is the really flat part – Enjoy! Runners will finish on a wide road which winds up and down through a residential neighbourhood. Please see our route maps posted for more information.

Half Marathon Early Start Time: 8:00 a.m. for walkers & runners over 2hr 20min
Half Marathon Regular Start Time: 9:00 am.
Course will be closed at 11:30 a.m.

Water Stops: There will be three water stops and Gatorade tables set up on the course.
This is NOT a closed course. Please watch out for other walkers and runners especially on the Trans Canada Trail. There may be dog walkers or folks out riding their horses as well. We will be doing our best to post advance notice of our event.
For insurance and safety reasons, MP3 players or listening devices are prohibited. Use of such a listening device may result in disqualification.
And remember, for insurance and safety reasons, don’t bring your dog, baby jogger, bicycle, hand cycle, skateboard or rollerblades. They’re not allowed either!

Top 5 in each age category. Age categories in 10 year increments.
